Ethernet card supplier directly. Driver Installation Guide Video Video drivers are split into
two categories, AGP controller and Video controller. The AGP controller
Audio The VIA audio drivers are
required for those systems utilizing the VIA Southbridge integrated
audio function. Drivers vary depending on Southbridge so please consult
the Chipset Driver Guide for the correct driver selection. VIA audio
drivers should not be installed on those systems that utilize
third-party audio cards or on-motherboard audio solutions. For third-party
audio driver support please contact your motherboard vendor or audio
card supplier directly. IDE
The IDE driver enables the performance enhancing bus mastering
functions on ATA-capable Hard Disk Drives and CDROMs. Ethernet - The VIA Ethernet drivers
are required for those systems utilizing the VIA VT8231 and VT8233 Southbridge
integrated Ethernet function. VIA Ethernet drivers should not be
installed on those systems that utilize third-party Ethernet cards
or on-motherboard Ethernet solutions. For third-party Ethernet driver
support please contact your motherboard vendor or Ethernet card supplier
directly. Other Utilities Two other utilities are included in the 4in1 driver to help improve system compatibility, particularly on older Operating Systems such as Windowsา 95 and 98. The 4in1 Smart Function will automatically detect your system OS and configuration and install these utilities if required. ท IRQ Routing Allows Windowsา 98 to correctly recognize VIA chipset IRQ Routing tables. This utility is not required for other Operating Systems. ท INF Allows Windowsา Device Manager to recognize VIA chipset model names. The INF utility has no impact on system compatibility or performance.
